Help Protect The Light Retreat’s Wildlife!
The threats to Charlotte’s wildlife are intensifying as never before.
Record-breaking losses of crucial wildlife habitat, the amplified effects of climate change—these and other threats have left beloved wildlife more imperiled than ever.
Without the support of friends like you, our retreat wouldn’t be able to restore key habitats and advocate on behalf of wildlife in harm’s way.
The Light Retreat was certified on July 2014 as a WildLife Habitat in the National Wildlife Federation’s worldwide network of mini-refuges.
Because of the owner’s conscientious planning, landscaping and sustainable gardening, wildlife may find quality habitat—food, water, cover, and places to raise their young.
At the Light Retreat we are pleased to have joined the thousands of wildlife enthusiasts across the country who have been recognized for creating sanctuaries for neighborhood wildlife in their very own yards. Following the dream of the property, we have provided the essential elements for healthy and sustainable wildlife habitats and have earned the distinction of being part of National Wildlife Federation's Certified Wildlife Habitat(r) program.
